Facebook Groups

Facebook is a website that many SFT members have an account with. These SFTers have created Facebook groups to stay in touch with each other and advertise our cause. If you wish to join one of these groups, or create your own, you must have a Facebook account. It is free, just go to Facebook.

SFT organizational or regional groups:

Pro-Tibet or call-to-action groups:
  • Beijing 2008: Where Will You Be?
The campaign «2008-FreeTibet» uses the Beijing Olympics to pressure the Chinese authorities for a fundamental change in occupied Tibet. By hosting the 2008 Games in Beijing, the Chinese leadership hopes to present China as a free and open society to the outside world. The reality is very different.
  • Goodsearch.com, To support Tibetans.
Use goodsearch.com. Choose this as a charity: "Students for Free Tibet". Support an ancient culture’s peaceful struggle against cultural genocide. The money can be sent to India to support the Tibetans in Exile. It matters.
  • Free Tenzin Delek Rinpoche
On December 2, 2002 Lobsang Dhondup and Tenzin Delek Rinpoche, a very respected Buddhist leader, were sentenced to death in Tibet. They are accused of being involved in bomb explosions in eastern Tibet, but the Chinese government has not produced any proof. It is likely they are being targeted because of their political and cultural beliefs and activities.
  • FACEJAM THE PLANET!!!
On January 26th 2007 SFT launched FACEJAM THE PLANET!!! to saturate public spaces with Tenzin Delek Rinpoche's (TDR’s) image. China hopes his plight and the plight of the Tibetan people will vanish forever, but we’re not going to let that happen by ensuring his face is seen EVERYWHERE!
  • March 10 Tibetan Uprising Day
Tibetans took to the streets of Lhasa on March 10, 1959 because they wanted the Chinese to leave our homeland. Tens of thousands of Tibetans risked their lives to protect our nation and our beloved leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama. They gave of themselves so that we may live and continue to fight.
  • Free Tibet!
TIBET ACTIVISTS PROTEST BEIJING 2008 OLYMPICS ON MT. EVEREST
Tibetan-American Amongst those Detained in High Altitude Protest
  • FREE TIBET!
For anyone who recognizes the injustice and shares in a desire to free tibet. Sign up on the websites below to take action. An email...a call...anything can make a difference. Speak out.
  • i hate stupid groups that say "don't free tibet"
Created by Dikyi Ukyab (Brooklyn Technical High School)
  • Boycott the Beijing Olympics
As the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing barrel toward us like a battle tank, dare to stand in their way!
  • Tibetans Are Indigenous People
Like the Native Americans in in U.S., Tibetans in Tibet are treated brutally as they are the minority of the country, which they own.
